The Rooftop Bar & Restaurant at the Brown Acropol is without doubt the jewel in the hotel's crown. Perched high above the vibrant streets of Omonia Square, it's a sanctuary of style and energy, offering panoramic views, superb service, and a vibe that perfectly captures the essence of Athens — sophisticated, fun, and effortlessly cool. 🌇✨
The staff are impeccable — Maria, Pannos, Fannis, and the entire team deliver service with warmth, charm, and genuine enthusiasm. Their smiles, attentiveness, and "nothing is too much trouble" attitude made our experience feel truly five-star. It's that kind of hospitality that stays with you long after you've left. 💛
The views from the rooftop are simply breathtaking, stretching across the city towards the Acropolis and Lycabettus Hill — day or night, it's a sight to remember. The hot tubs are a unique and playful touch; though one was rather chilly due to a locked temperature control, the setting and atmosphere more than made up for it.
The food was good, though the menu was somewhat limited and didn't quite deliver the full Greecian flair we were hoping for. Still, it was excellent value for money, beautifully presented, and a pleasure to enjoy in such a stunning space.
Breakfast, however, was a complete delight. Served between 7–11am, it felt more like a brunch experience than a standard hotel buffet — something to savour slowly with hot and cold options for every palate. Add to that the option of Prosecco or Ouzo, alongside fresh juices and barista coffee, and mornings here are nothing short of indulgent. 🍾☕
The décor ties everything together — sleek glass surrounds that make the most of the view, ambient lighting, and the hotel's signature 60's vibe brought to life through music and design. It's effortlessly chic and full of character.
And here's the best part — you can eat and drink at the rooftop even if you're not staying at the hotel, which makes it a must-visit for anyone in Athens looking for a stylish spot with incredible views.
That said, while the rooftop shines, the rooms need some attention to truly match the level of the experience upstairs. Until that happens, we wouldn't rush to rebook a stay — but we'd absolutely return to the rooftop in a heartbeat.
